Martin is a 17 year old boy with mild mental retardation, and he is on a weelchair. Every morning he goes to school where he attended the last year of high school. In the afternoon we used to spend his time in a social cooperative with other people with disabilities.
The school is planning a week long trip to Florence. This gives us an excuse to show two different approaches for the handicapped: on the one hand too protective, mercy and involuntary behavior to the exclusion of the father - who does not agree, leaving his son to school and more trip-the old support teacher learning of Martin, who treats him badly and without patience, on the other hand, fresh and open attitude embodied by Nora, another teacher of learning support from the school of Martin, who is a dreamer, full of good intentions itching at the tip of all prejudices.
The result would be a good compromise, where solidarity becomes the real winner.
